The League of Life and Health Insurers of Maryland, Inc. (The League) was formed in 1989 to serve the life and health insurers in Maryland in meeting their legislative and regulatory needs. According to a new JAMA study reported on by @USATODAY, new drug prices have increased more than six-fold since 2008, with the typical annual price of a newly approved prescription drug having jumped from about $39,000 in 2008 to more than $250,000 in 2025.
